We are so excited about our upcoming wedding! We have rented a farmhouse in Waldoboro, Maine for the reception and after party. Because the house is on a lake, we are inviting people to bring bathing suits and join us for a very casual, reunion-like party. It is rare that so many old friends can come together in one place, we really hope that people will come and spend time eating, drinking and just enjoying one another's company. The wedding ceremony will be at the top of Mt. Battie, in Camden Hills State Park at 3:00pm. (This is a mountain that you can drive up!) There will be no seating for the ceremony, and no shade, but the views over the ocean are incredible. Feel free to come to the park before the ceremony and enjoy the hiking trails all through the state park. The state park does charge a nominal fee to enter. There will not be any signage for the ceremony, just drive up the mountain and park. You'll find us near the large tower. If it is pouring rain, we will notify everyone that the venue has changed. In case of rain or lightening we will have the marriage ceremony at the farmhouse in Waldoboro. From 4:00pm to 6:00pm there will be a cocktail reception at the farmhouse which is 40 minutes away. Light foods will be served, there will be an open bar, loads of lawn games and swimming. You can help us figure out how to bake a hundred lobsters in the ground! Feel free to explore the town of Camden or the Camden Hills State Park before heading to the farmhouse in Waldoboro, if you wish. A seated dinner will be a traditional lobster bake and will be served at 6:00pm followed by dessert. The Hot Club of New England will be playing Gypsy Jazz at 8pm. Kick of your shoes and join us for swing dancing on the lawn. http://hotclubofnewengland.com/ Dancing, bonfire and open bar will go on until the last people leave. Feel free to stay all night. The following day we will be driving to Boston to get on a Red-eye flight to Oslo to begin our 3 week tour of Europe and Istanbul. Waldoboro, ME is 3 hours from Boston's Logan Airport and 1.5 hours from Portland Airport. There is a train that leaves from either Boston's North Station or Portland to Brunswick, ME which is 45 mins away. Amtrak also runs a shuttle bus from Brunswick, ME to Waldoboro, ME. We have rented two minivans that will be available at Logan Airport in Boston from 10:30am Wednesday July 26 until 10:30am Friday July 28. Please let me know if you want to ride in the van or even drive one of them! We will be co-ordinating pick ups at the Brunswick train station for people who will be traveling by public transportation. We are facilitating house shares for our guests. If you would like to rent a room in a house with other wedding guests let us know! The rooms will be about $50 a night with shared bath and kitchens thru homes on air B and B. If you are looking to arrange your own lodging, we highly recommend using www.airbandb.com and renting a home from a super host or from someone with a lot of positive reviews. Camping is available at Camden Hills State Park, where the wedding ceremony is being held. (Matinicus has the most islolated lighthouse in the US the island is 23 miles off shore and is the namesake of Sarah's much beloved Kevlar touring kayak.) Acadia National Park is also a great place to spend time vacationing in Maine, or Sarah's favorite place: Deer Isle which hosts a great Jazz Festival, Shakespeare Festival and the country's most productive lobster port, Stonington, ME. You've come a long way to get to our wedding, but the most beautiful parts of the state are Down East, on the other side of Penobscot Bay. There will be lots of locals at the wedding to tell you how to get there from here. Reception will be at a rambling farmhouse here:

The gift of your presence, either in person or by sending us a card to be read at the reception, is present enough. We are blessed beyond measure. Please do not bring a gift. If you would like to contribute to our adventure trip of a lifetime, you may do so here:
